U13Bs squeeze home at Regent's Park

Sunday 5 May 2013:  SNCC U13B - 129 for 5 vs Regent's Park U13B - 117 for 9.  Won by 12 runs (league)

Stokey were put into bat and openers Harry Tanner and Saul Holliday got them off to a flying start, as they reached 49 inside the first seven overs before Harry was caught at mid-off going for his seventh boundary.  Saul anchored the innings brilliantly for 21 and received good support from Jack (17), Alfie (11) and Joe (who was not out on 15).

Tight new ball bowling by Barnaby and Saul restricted Regent's Park to singles early on and as the pressure grew on the batsmen SNCC's fielders excelled with six run-outs, two by Alfie.  Some lusty blows by the Regent's Park lower order left them needing 23 off the last over, but Barnaby kept his composure and the U13Bs won their first game of the season.
