U12Bs set up title decider!
SNCC U12B v Regents Park CC
Hackney Marshes Saturday 27 June 2015

Regents Park 134 – 7 (Harry 3 wickets)
SNCC U12B 135 – 0 (Tom Davies 56 not out; Khairo White 51 not out) 19 overs

SNCC U12B win by 10 wickets
In perfect conditions the winning form of the U12Bs was restored in a game that was much closer than the score suggests. Having put Regents Park in to bat a win appeared unlikely as they progressed to 40 odd for 0 after only 4 overs. From that point however the run rate reduced and there were six good catches of which a number were exceptional. Mujahed claimed two and others went to Haroon, Layth and Archie P. This was not the best overall bowling performance of the season although Harry claimed three wickets, Zaid as ever bowled with guile and Jude Horspool delivered a fine run out.
As for the batting, against very solid and consistent bowling with a deep field from the first ball, Tom and Khairo batted with real maturity and paced the runs brilliantly to seal a win in the 19th over. Tom's third not out fifty of the season came in the 17th over, and he took a single to allow Khairo, then on 49, to hit the winning runs and progress to yet another 50. There was other batting to come but the opening partnership delivered under pressure.
One more game awaits - the title decider against in-form North London next Friday. Make yourself available!
