Stoke Newington won the toss and chose to bowl despite tithe fact that the early start meant that they started with only 9 players. Millfields was closely mowed a and perfect for a big match. Stoke Newington felt they were back in the match.

 

Mosiur Rahman pushed the score onwards as the game swung Renaissance's way. Stoke Newington turned to spin. This slowed the run rate and when Abul Kasim Nalla bowled Rahman and Raju shortly after, leaving Renaissance on 150 for 6, and still looking good. Mokbul was run out but Mushiur and Tanvir pushed the runs on. Mushuk Ahmed caught in the deep from Irfan Mohammed on 181 a big score continued to look on. Tanvir went at 222 and then the last couple of wickets fell quickly. 228 all out.

Run out backing up, Raheem went for 26 with score on 54. Kasim Nalla was bowled for 10 with the score on 67. Renaissance had the upper hand and the run rate was building. Zazai then, supported by Ali Asgar, hit his first six and the mood changed. Drinks at 107 was very close to half way to the target. Ali continued to play the supporting role as Zazai opened up hitting three sixes and a four as he got his fifty,then his seventy. Ali getting his fifty more quietly around the same time. Zazai eventually went for 77 with the score on 199 (a stand of 132) Renaissance's heads had dropped. 30 needed. Irfan Mohammed hit a for and was then bowled. 209 for 6, still on. Furquan bowled for a duck Renaissance are back in it. Alam Nero bowls a maiden, pressure builds. 3 overs and 12 needed. Tom Ashman after swiping and missing three in a row hit 4, 4 and a huge 6 back over the bowlers head to win it for Stoke Newington by two wickets!!!
